JGS Consulting has extensive experience in the development, implementation, and audit of ISO 17025 quality systems in both government and private sector test laboratories. Our client list for quality system design and consulting clients includes companies such as Dell Computer Corporation, Armstrong World Industries, NIOSH, and NASA. Our quality system test technology experience includes acoustics, vibrations, structural dynamics, mechanical, fire and electromagnetic testing.
Our philosophy around quality system design is a very straightforward approach that attempts to make common sense of the myriad of requirements and jargon on quality system. Quality systems designed by JGS Consulting focus on developing understandable and relevant documentation on how to get conducts tests right, the first time. Our approach to quality system design is to customize our standardized template for quality system layout in a manner that fits each individual organization.
In addition to total quality system design services, JGS Consulting can also provide your organization with consultation services to assist you with ISO 17025 quality system development and audit services. Audit services include the laboratories general quality systems policies and procedures and technical audits in the area of acoustic measurement.
Quality systems developed by JGS Consulting can take several forms. Many smaller laboratories maintain their quality system documentation in paper-based notebook format. Some of our larger clients are going to web-based quality systems. Our services include both the quality system design and the web based implementation.
Jeff G. Schmitt, P.E., serves as the principal quality systems consultant for JGS Consulting. Mr. Schmitt has been involved with laboratory quality systems since 1988, has managed a NVLAP accredited test laboratory, served as a quality systems consultant to numerous clients, and is currently an acoustics laboratory assessor for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program.
