Trident,
Version 5 for National Instrument DAQmx compatible hardware, is
released.
April 2006
Nelson Acoustics
has released Version 5 of its Trident Multi-Channel, Multi-Parameter
acoustic measurement software application. Designed to take advantage
of National Instrument's latest data acquisition hardware and the NI-DAQmx
driver, Trident provides a plug-and-play measurement solution for most
product noise emission and acoustic measurement applications.
Trident mX
conducts simultaneous real-time analysis for proportional octave band
(1/1, 1/3, 1/6, 1/12 or 1/24), high resolution FFT and ISO 532B Loudness
analysis on up to 20 input channels. In addition, Version 5 adds
simultaneous stream to disk time waveform recording of any or all input
channels and the option to save the data to calibrated audio WAV format
files for use with the Nelson Acoustics
Sound
Quality Analyzer. This allows Trident mX users to make all
measurements typically needed for product
Trident mX was
developed using National Instruments
LabView
programming language. It is then compiled to an executable application,
providing plug-and-play functionality using the free LabView Run Time
License. Trident mX also uses the proportional octave band filters from
the National Instruments
Sound and Vibration
Toolset. These filters are certificated for IEC and ANSI
compliance by National Instruments, allowing our Trident mX based
systems to meet the underlying signal processing requirements of most
acoustic test standards (such as the ISO 374x or ANSI S12.5x
standards).
The Nelson Acoustics Trident mX application provides the following
features and functionality:
-
Free running,
real-time, proportional octave band, FFT and ISO 532B analysis
-
Leq, time
averaged FFT and overall ISO 532B analysis
-
Built in
calibration module
-
Stream to Disk,
save to WAV file with level calibration
-
Real time audio
monitoring of any input channel via the system sound card
-
Data export into MS Excel Template Files using ActiveX calls.
-
Options to export
large FFT data files to text file output
-
User configurable
input channels, sampling rates, frequency ranges and other setup
parameters
-
User definable MS Excel export templates
The Nelson
Acoustics Trident mX application is recommended for the following
National Instruments Digital Signal Analyzer devices:
The Nelson
Acoustics Trident mX software application is available in several
configurations to meet your budget and measurement needs:
>Trident mX
Version 5, Multi-Channel, Multi-Board, Full Functionality (up to 20
channels from multiple boards)
>Trident mX
Version 5, Multi-Channel, Single Board, Full Functionality (great
solution for USB or single board PCI systems)
>Trident mX,
Multi-Channel, Single Board, w/o Time Waveform Recording (most
economical solution)
